At least one person was killed and two others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in L.A.’s Sawtelle neighborhood Thursday night.
Los Angeles police responded to a crash at the intersection of Centinela Avenue and Olympic Boulevard at around 8:12 p.m.
Cellphone video from witnesses showed severe damage to several vehicles including a sedan that had crashed onto a large tree in a center median and an overturned SUV.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim was transported to the hospital with critical injuries and a third person suffered minor injuries, authorities said.
Details remain limited. It’s unclear what caused the crash and police have not confirmed the total number of vehicles involved.
The identities of the victims were not released.
As police and fire crews work to clear the debris from the roadway, the eastbound lanes of Olympic Boulevard between Cetinella Avenue and Stewart Street will be closed to traffic until further notice.
Drivers headed to the area are asked to plan an alternate route of travel.
