The website for Los Angeles International Airport remains down Thursday morning as officials troubleshoot problems within the computer system.
“Los Angeles World Airports detected anomalies in our communication network earlier this morning,” the airport authority that owns and operates LAX wrote in a statement about the situation.
LAWA stated that steps were taken to isolate its system while the anomalies were assessed.
Officials did not describe the incident as a cyberattack although the airport’s flylax.com website would not load Thursday morning.
“The airport is operating at full capacity and there are minimal impacts on airport operations,” LAWA stated.
Officials also recommended that guests check with their airline for information before heading to the airport.
