A Pasadena man who has worked for 20 years as a teacher and girls soccer coach was arrested after police searched his devices and found images of child pornography.
Justin Yasutake, 39, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at his home by members of the Arcadia Police Department.
Yasutake became the subject of an investigation last month after a person reported him to Arcadia police, alleging that they were sent suspicious messages through social media.
“In these messages, an unknown subject was inquiring about juvenile girls and sending videos of themselves masturbating to images of juvenile girls,” the Police Department stated in a news release.
One of the people involved in that online conversation was later revealed to be Yasutake, investigators allege.
A search warrant was issued and served for his electronic devices, which led to the discovery of “numerous” videos and images of underage girls engaged in sexual activity.
An arrest warrant was later issued and he was taken into custody in front of his home.
Detectives have since learned that the 39-year-old has worked as both a teacher and youth soccer coach and may have been “exploiting underage girls during that time.”
Because he had access to underage girls, investigators believe there may be victims who have yet to come forward or reported inappropriate behavior.

Yasutake is currently being held at the Arcadia Police Department and is expected to be charged with possession of child sex abuse material.
