The Orange County girls basketball rankings for this week.
Notable this week: Top-ranked Mater Dei faces No. 2 Fairmont Prep and No. 3 Sage Hill in nonleague games. The Huskies, who climbed one spot in the rankings this week, play host to the Monarchs on Tuesday at 7 p.m. On Saturday, Mater Dei and Sage Hill clash at the Maya Enomoto Showcase at Esperanza High at 7:30 p.m. Mater Dei and Fairmont Prep both played well in losses against undefeated Ontario Christian at the Troy Classic. The Monarchs fell in the final 66-58.

1. Mater Dei (7-1): Hardship transfer Nohelani Stores, a 6-foot-2 senior post, has been cleared by the CIF Southern Section to play.

2. Fairmont Prep (7-2): Maria Mejia and Adyra Rajan earned all-tournament honors to help the Huskies place third at the Troy Classic.

3. Sage Hill (6-2): Freshman Addison Uphoff and sophomore Kamdyn Klamberg each scored 14 points in a 60-52 win against JSerra.

4. Villa Park (9-0): Olivia Sturdivant claimed MVP honors as the Spartans captured the Villa Park-Brea Olinda Winter Shootout.

5. San Clemente (5-4): Sophomores Izzy Sims and Kiley Husbands stood out as the Tritons faced stiff competition at the Troy Classic.

6. Buena Park (4-1): Gloria Barrera scored 27 points to help the Coyotes defeat Bonita 62-56 for a quality win.

7. Orange Lutheran (7-1): Freshman Kayla Watanabe earned all-tournament honors at the Villa Park-Brea Olinda Winter Shootout after helping the Lancers place fifth.

8. Crean Lutheran (8-1): Sydnee Norwood had 24 points and 12 rebounds as the Saints opened the Sunny Hills Showcase with a 55-42 win against Yucaipa on Monday.
