(KRON) – Another San Francisco establishment has been named best in the state by recipe magazine “Taste of Home.”
For more than a century, Molinari Delicatessen says its mission is to “keep Italian-American culture alive in SF.”
Located in SF’s North Beach neighborhood, the deli literally has salami hanging from the ceiling. With gourmet sandwiches made to order, most people order a custom sandwich. However, the deli’s Molinari Special Italian combo and Renzo Special are the “most liked” for delivery and pickup orders.
The eatery is more than just subs, they have goods imported from Italy, such as olives, olive oil pasta, sauces, balsamic vinaigrette and more. The deli also has a plethora of wines.
According to Molinari Deli’s social media, the deli sells housemade pesto sauce and gives customers permission to fib to their dinner guests that they made the sauce fresh.
A bride and groom in full wedding attire, stopped into the sandwich spot to get a sub on their wedding day, as seen on the deli’s Instagram.
