Civil lawsuit accuses Jay-Z of raping girl, 13, with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs: report

A lawsuit filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs in October alleging the rape of a 13-year-old girl in 2000 has been re-filed Sunday to include rap icon and entrepreneur Jay-Z whose real name is Shawn Carter, NBC News reported.

The assault, according to the accuser identified only as “Jane Doe,” happened at a MTV Music Awards after party.

The alleged victim was dropped off by a friend outside Radio City Music Hall where the VMA’s were occurring. With no ticket, she reportedly approached several limousine drivers in an attempt to get into the event or gain access to an after party.

One of the drivers, NBC reported, said he worked for Combs and told the then 13-year-old that she “fit” what Combs was looking for. He had the teen return to his car at the end of the evening and drove her 20 minutes to a “white house with a U-shaped driveway.”

The lawsuit claims the teen signed what she thought was a nondisclosure agreement that she did not receive a copy of before gaining access to a party filled with celebrities and others reportedly using cocaine and smoking pot.

Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee, who filed the suit in the Southern District of New York and has several suits against Combs, then alleges Jane Doe was given a drink that made her “woozy, lightheaded and felt [like] she needed to lie down,” NBC reported.

At some point after she found a room to rest in, both the rappers and an unidentified female celebrity reportedly walked in with Combs saying, “You are ready to party!”

It is then alleged that Carter undressed the girl, held her down and raped her while Combs and the woman watched. She further claims that Combs raped her after as Carter and the woman looked on.

“The suit says that she was able to resist being forced to perform oral sex on Combs by hitting him in the neck and that he ‘stopped,’ NBC News reported.

Doe, who is seeking unspecified damages, then says she grabbed her clothes and left the party, making her way to a gas station where she called her father.

NBC News reported that before the suit was re-filed, the accuser’s attorney notified Carter by letter and requested mediation to “resolve this matter,” but that in response the star rapper filed his own lawsuit against her attorneys.

Neither Buzbee nor representatives for Carter and Combs immediately responded to requests for comment, NBC News reported.

However, in a scathing statement released on Roc Nation’s Instagram, Jay-Z’s label, the rap superstar acknowledged the suit, saying he received a “demand letter” from Buzbee and referred to it as a “blackmail attempt.”

“What he calculated was the nature of the allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle,” the statements reads in part. “No, sir. It had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give ONE RED PENNY!!”

The statement goes on to say that the “allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”

Combs is currently being held without bail in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center after federal prosecutors charged him in a sprawling racketeering, sex trafficking case in September.

That trial is scheduled for May 5.
