(BCN) — Cable car service in San Francisco will be temporarily provided by buses between 6 a.m. Monday and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to transportation officials.
The Powell/Mason and Powell/Hyde cable car lines will be partially served by buses, with the cable cars only operating north of Washington Street, according to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency website.
The switch is due to expected street closures, the transit agency said. Powell will be closed between California and Sacramento, California between Powell and Mason and Sacramento between Powell and Taylor.
