Beyoncé finally releases a visual and urges everyone to vote

After over a year of begging and pleading, Beyoncé has finally dropped a visual.

Late Monday night, just before Election Day, Queen Bey released a music video for her song “Bodyguard” from her country-inspired album “Cowboy Carter.” It’s the first official video from the project.

The video captioned “Beywatch” on Instagram, featured her dressed as Pamela Anderson and her many iconic looks from “Baywatch,” “Barb Wire,” and the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards.

Dressed as Anderson’s character Barb Wire from the 1996 Sci-Fi action film, the 32-time Grammy winner shoots a fake gun, and a flag reading “vote” appears. During this election season, Beyoncé has been vocal about her support behind Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign.

She allowed Harris to use her 2016 song “Freedom” for her campaign and spoke to a crowd in Houston, Texas last month voicing her support for Harris-Walz.

In true Beyoncé fashion, the fun didn’t end with the video.

She channeled the Canadian bombshell as part of her 2024 Halloween costumes, which she’s dubbed “Beylloween.” Days before she dressed as Betty Davis, Prince and Apollonia in “Purple Rain.”

Late Monday night, she unveiled various photos sporting Anderson’s ’90s looks on Instagram and captioned the post “Beylloween fin.” Part of the photos included her wearing a pink furry hat, white corset, and sequined multi-color pants—Anderson’s famous outfit during the 1999 MTV VMAs. In a cheeky twist, Bey’s team added a background reading “no visual awards,” poking fun at fans who have been requesting the singer to release music videos from her albums “Renaissance” and “Cowboy Carter.”
