A 20-year-old Torrance man was arrested on suspicion of striking two 19-year-old pedestrians during a street takeover in Anaheim, police announced Monday, Nov. 4.
The arrest came only a few days after the street takeover Friday. Police and emergency personnel responded to the intersection of Orangewood Avenue and State College Boulevard around 2 a.m. after the driver of a black 2017 Dodge Charger reportedly lost control and drove into a crowd of spectators, the Anaheim Police Department said.
Two young men sustained severe injuries, with at least one suffering broken ribs. The driver fled and left the car behind, which was impounded by police the same night, Sgt. Matt Sutter said.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of felony hit and run and exhibition of speed.
