(KRON) — A second boat has fatally capsized in Bodega Bay, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred at 7:11 a.m. Monday.
There were two people aboard the vessel at the time of the incident. One of them has been confirmed dead. The other is still missing.
KRON4 has dispatched a crew that is currently on the way to the scene.
The incident comes on the heels of a separate incident on Bodega Bay on Saturday night. One person was confirmed dead in that incident and four others remain missing. One survivor, an 11-year-old boy, was found and hospitalized.
Law enforcement officials told KRON4 that a search is on for the missing boaters from Monday’s incident, along with the four missing boaters from Saturday.
The National Weather Service has issued a small craft advisory in the Bodega Bay area from shore to 10 miles out.
