(BCN) — A high school in Concord went into lockdown on Wednesday after authorities were alerted that someone was brandishing a firearm near it, according to the Concord Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of a suspicious gray sedan with its occupants reportedly brandishing a firearm near Ygnacio Valley High School and Oak Grove Middle School.
An officer found the vehicle in the high school parking lot, and a high-risk traffic stop was conducted, according to police. The high school went into lockdown as a precaution until the scene was secured.
The vehicle occupants, who were non-students, were arrested for suspected alcohol-related crimes. No firearm was recovered, however, according to police.
