(KRON) — Westbound lanes of Interstate 780 in Benicia were blocked Wednesday morning after an injury crash involving two vehicles, according to the California Highway Patrol. All lanes reopened at 11:43 a.m.
Lanes of westbound I-780 were blocked east of Southampton Road, CHP said, after a white Ford van and a red Toyota sedan were involved in a collision. A severe traffic alert was issued at 11:05 a.m.
At least one person suffered injuries in the collision, according to a CHP incident log. The extent of the injuries was not immediately available.
Motorists were advised to expect delays and to use alternative routes.
