From its beginning as a roastery in Phu Yen, Vietnam, in 1980 (where it’s known as Cafe Tùng), Taty’s Coffee, which specialize in Vietnamese coffees and teas, will open its second U.S. location later this month in Garden Grove.
Among its vast menu of specialty drinks, Taty’s offers Viet milk coffee, which uses condensed milk for a sweet touch, oat Viet coffee (using oat condensed milk), rose, lavender, activated charcoal ube, black sesame and egg lattes (all of which come with flavored foams), blended avocado or coconut coffees, and a roster of ice blended coffees and smoothies like Oreo, matcha brûlée, blueberry cheesecake, cloudy strawberry slush (with cheese foam and strawberry bits) and more.

Iced fruit teas, like kumquat, peach, ruby grapefruit, pink guava, are also on the menu. The caffeine-free Deep Blue Ocean Sparkling Water, in particular, made with lemonade, butterfly pea tea and topped with a candied orange slice and passionfruit jelly, looks dazzling with its Instagram-ready blue hue. More than a dozen milk teas are available, including brown sugar boba, pandan milk with aloe vera, taro, soy match and coconut jasmine, to name a few.
And for caffeine purists, regular Viet black coffee or the house black coffee, the latter of which gets topped with a lightly sweetened cheese foam, are also available.
Guests can order their brews with 0%, 25%, 75%, 100% or a heart-stopping 125% level of sweetness.

The cafe also offers a small food menu featuring fries, onion rings, egg rolls, popcorn chicken, fish balls, shrimp tempura and more.

Taty’s Garden Grove location will have its soft opening on Saturday, Oct. 12 and its grand opening on Saturday, Oct. 26. The first 50 customers in line on the soft or grand opening weekends will receive a Taty’s Coffee tote bag and a free drink voucher for their next visit. Everyone else will get a free drink voucher.
Taty’s first U.S. location opened in nearby Westminster.
Regular store hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 8:30 p.m.
