(KRON) – It will be a busy weekend for the City of Berkeley as the Cal Bears football team is hosting a college game day show for the first time in over 30 years.
The Bears are currently (3-1) and are looking to knock off the eighth-seed and undefeated Miami Hurricanes.
Thousands are expected to attend the game. Many students and fans are planning on camping out the night before the big game.
The big game begins at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Pregame events that commence at 6 p.m.
The city of Berkeley is warning its residents of the traffic impacts in and around the stadium as it is a sold-out game for the Golden Bears.
BART is extending its services to the Bay Area, starting at 430 a.m. in the hopes that will help minimize some of the traffic impacts.
Those stations include 16th Street, Bay Fair, Daly City, Dublin/Pleasanton, El Cerrito, Del Norte, Fremont, Fruitvale, MacArther, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek and Orinda.
