Multiple people were injured after shooters opened fire in South Los Angeles Wednesday afternoon.
Los Angeles police responded to a shooting near 74th and Figueroa Streets in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood at around 3:12 p.m.
Arriving officers found four women with gunshot wounds at the scene. One was transported to the hospital in critical condition and three others remain in moderate condition.
Three suspects fled the scene in a getaway car and remain at large.
Sky5 footage from the scene showed several vehicles with bullet holes and windshield damage.
A large number of evidence markers could be seen across the roadway as the street was cordoned off by police tape.
Neither the victim’s names nor ages were released. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
