(KRON) — A 21-year-old Milpitas man was arrested Tuesday night on gun charges after consenting to a police search of his vehicle, according to the San Mateo Police Department.
Officers were patrolling the area of South Delaware Street and 31st Avenue at around 9 p.m. when a car was observed to be parked in a red zone. A record check showed the vehicle’s registration was suspended, police said, and officers contacted the driver.
Prince-John Sese, 21, was the only occupant of the vehicle and provided consent to police to search the vehicle, SMPD said. Officers located a loaded, unregistered Glock handgun without a serial number.
Two replica firearms were also found in the search, police said.
Sese was arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, carrying a loaded firearm in public and violating Department of Justice requirements related to firearm identification.
