(KRON) — The Oakland Athletics are set to play what looks likely to be their last home game at the Oakland Coliseum on Thursday. After 57 years, four World Series, the “Swingin’ A’s,” the “Bash Brothers,” “Moneyball,” and countless other memories, the team are uprooting to Sacramento for the next few seasons. From there, the plan is for the team to relocate to Las Vegas for a proposed state-of-the-art stadium off the Vegas Strip.
While the team’s time in Oakland appears to have come to an end, Thursday will be one last chance for fans to cheer on the team at the Coliseum they’ve called home since 1968. As this chapter of Bay Area baseball slams shut, KRON4.com is inviting fans to share their memories of rooting on the A’s at the Coliseum.
