Noteworthy: The dual-threat quarterback played a big role in the Vanguards’ 48-21 win over Mission College Prep to improve to 5-0. Guess passed for 209 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 149 yards and three touchdowns on nine carries. Guess, who committed to UC Davis, has completed 66 percent of his passes this season for 1,280 yards and 17 touchdowns with one interception and has rushed for 671 yards and nine touchdowns.
