North Bay bakery expands to Walnut Creek with new location 

(KRON) — An Oprah Winfrey-approved Bay Area-based bakery is opening a new location in the East Bay. The Model Bakery is coming to Walnut Creek. 

The bake shop offers pastries, bread, cookies, cakes, pies, coffee, tea, breakfast and lunch. 

The bakery’s English muffin made Oprah Winfrey’s 2021 “Favorite Things” list. The bakery’s website has Winfrey’s exact quote, “I dare you to find a better English muffin than these! I’ve sent them to just about everyone I know, I even travel with them.”

The newest bakery address is 1315 North Main Street in Walnut Creek. The Model Bakery has not released Walnut Creek’s opening date or the operations hours. 

The bakery has three other locations in Yountville, Napa and St. Helena, and has been operating for more than 25 years.
