(KRON) — Police in Suisun City are investigating an attempted homicide after a 23-year-old victim was shot inside a business Tuesday night, according to the Suisun City Police Department.
Police responded to the 800 block of Sunset Avenue at around 8:15 p.m. on reports of a shooting. Arriving officers located spent bullet shell casings at the parking lot of a business as well as inside, Suisun City PD said.
A gunshot victim arrived at a local hospital as police were investigating the scene, SCPD said, and it was determined that the victim was connected to the shooting.

According to detectives, a suspect and the victim encountered each other inside the business before the suspect brandished a handgun and began firing at the victim. The suspect pursued the victim inside and outside the business, firing multiple rounds and striking the victim at least once.
Both the suspect and the victim were gone by the time officers arrived, SCPD said. No arrests have been announced by police as of Thursday morning in connection to the shooting.
