SAN BRUNO, Calif. (KRON) — A three-way car crash on the Peninsula led to an overturned vehicle and three injuries on Saturday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol in San Francisco told KRON4.
CHP received reports of a three-way car crash on San Bruno’s southbound Interstate 280 north of Sneath Lane at about 4:30 p.m. Responding officers arrived to find the crash, with one vehicle overturned to its left side, officials said.
The overturned vehicle had three occupants, including an adult and two juveniles. CHP told KRON4 the three were transported to the hospital for “complaint of pain injuries.”
A separate occupant of one of the three other vehicles suffered an injury to the scalp. They were taken to a local hospital to further evaluate the head laceration, CHP said.
Interstate 280’s right lanes were closed for about two hours. At about 6 p.m., CHP re-opened all lanes but told drivers to expect residual delays.
