(KRON) — Two suspects who allegedly stole $1,000 worth of clothing from Macy’s and punched a security guard were arrested, according to the San Mateo Police Department. San Mateo PD officers responded just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday on a report of retail theft at the Macy’s located at Hillsdale Shopping Center.
Loss prevention personnel told police they had stopped two suspects who stole clothing from the store. Officers responded to the scene to investigate and learned that two suspects entered the store and stole miscellaneous clothing items.
As the suspects exited, police said, loss prevention tried to stop them. One of the suspects punched a loss prevention agent and tried to run away before being detained. No one was injured, police said.
All the stolen items were recovered and returned to Macy’s. The two suspects were identified as:
Jorfran Hernandez-Refino, 20, of San Francisco
Kedwin Nabmens-Blanco, 23, of San Francisco
They were arrested for robbery, organized retail theft and conspiracy to commit a crime and booked into San Mateo County Jail.
