(KRON) – T-Mobile employees and customers were brandished with bear spray when a brazen robbery occurred on Saturday, according to the Daly City Police Department. The department said a suspect has been arrested.
The robbery occurred at the T-Mobile on Gellert Boulevard. Police were dispatched to the scene at 3:05 a.m. on Sept. 7. An employee informed DCPD that a suspect entered the store carrying a can of bear spray and placing multiple items in his bag.
Daly City PD said customers were physically impacted after the can of bear spray began to leak.
The suspect fled, however, police located and arrested the suspect.
It was determined that the suspect stole approximately $14,000 worth of merchandise. The property was returned to the store.
The suspect was identified as a 34-year-old San Francisco resident. Police said the suspect was booked into a local jail for suspicion of robbery, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, illegal use and possession of tear gas, and other offenses.
