Police arrested an unhoused woman after surveillance footage captured her starting a dumpster fire in Upland on Saturday.
The Upland Police Department tweeted the video on Sunday, showing the woman throwing a lit item into a dumpster – which then caught the nearby building’s roof on fire.
The department noted she had been using drugs behind the building before starting the fire.
Crews managed to knock down the flames before extensive damage, according to police.
Officers arrested and booked the woman for arson.
