Breed: Domestic shorthair tabby
Age: About 3 months
Sex: Spayed female
Mittens’ story: Mittens was found on July 4 by a man who found her, scared, shaking and alone at a Long Beach transit station. The man contacted Long Beach Spay and Neuter Foundation, which took in Mittens, cleaned her up and got her to a vet. They then found a foster family, whose teen daughters and other cats keep her amused. She’s healthy, litter box-trained, good with nail trims and loves to give and receive affection. She’s also a great lap kitty and snuggler. She’d love another cat to play with; in fact, four other females in need of homes are with Mittens’ foster family, so if you’d like two kittens, you’ve come to the right place! Cats live about 15 years, so Mittens’ adopter must be willing and able to make that time commitment.
Adoption cost: $150 to help offset Mittens’ veterinary costs
Adoption procedure: Contact Joanne with Long Beach Spay and Neuter Foundation at fishmjo@yahoo.com to request an adoption application and schedule an appointment to meet Mittens.
