SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco Fire Department rescued two people who were found trapped by the Presidio’s beach tide on Saturday night.
At about 8:30 p.m., firefighters were searching the coastline of the Presidio for a “group that has become lost and disoriented” on the beach as the tide was coming in, SFFD said.
A video posted by SF Fire (above) shows several fire trucks parked in the Presidio with noticeable fog in the surrounding area.
Approximately 15 minutes later, SFFD said they located two adults trapped by the tide in Baker Beach. “Rescuers are setting up a room system to get them to safety,” fire crews said.
Just before 9 p.m., SFFD’s Coast and Cliff Rescue units pulled the two adults out of the tide, and Baker Beach paramedics responded for evaluation.
