An 84-year-old man was found dead Monday morning near Anaheim Boulevard and Cerritos Avenue, police said, believed to have died from being hit by a vehicle.
Anaheim police and fire personnel responded to a call at about 5:30 a.m. on Sept. 2 of a pedestrian lying on the ground and found the man with severe injuries. He was declared dead at the scene.
Police said initial indications were that the man was hit by a vehicle but a the suspect left the scene before officers arrived.
The man’s identity has yet to be released by the coroner’s office.
Police are not releasing a suspect’s vehicle description at this time.
