Crowds kick off Orange Street Fair weekend

For some it’s a chance to catch up with friends and neighbors, for others it’s a chance to graze their way through foods from around the globe, and for the school and community groups, it’s a chance to do some important fundraising.

For all, the annual Orange International Street Fair seems to be a good time, and it is continuing through Sunday in Old Towne Orange.

Vendors ring the traffic circle at the heart of Old Towne and each spoke from the center has food and drink booths lining the road for a block or so. They are organized by “streets” representing regions around the world.

Throughout the weekend, bands will be taking the main stage in the central plaza and various smaller street stages. There is also a kids’ activity area.
