The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich is back for another run at Chick-fil-A restaurants.
The Atlanta-based chain introduced the item a year ago, describing it on social media as its first-ever seasonal spin on its original chicken sandwich. It features a chicken filet topped with pimento cheese, drizzled with honey and served in a toasted bun on a bed of jalapeño slices.
This year, Chick-fil-A is putting an additional spin on last year’s spin by adding a spicy option for the filet.
Chick-fil-A is also bringing back its Banana Pudding Milkshake for the first time since it was introduced in 2011, according to a news release. What’s new is a Banana Frosted Coffee, cold brew made with soft-serve, banana and vanilla wafer cookie crumbles.
The pimento sandwich replaces Chick-fil-A’s Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich, which it introduced last May, as its seasonal, limited-time item. The chain’s popular Peach Milkshake has also ended its run.
