Axel’s story: When you think of a happy dog, you think of Axel! He wags with his entire body. He greets everyone with a huge grin and just loves being in your presence. Axel has not always had a happy life, though. He lived as a stray in the high desert for a long time before a kind woman started feeding him. He soon brought along a female stray dog, and they had a family – now five dogs were living in the fields. The woman called Coastal German Shepherd Rescue, which saved all five. You wouldn’t know any of this by meeting Axel, except for a faint scar on the bridge of his nose. He has settled into the comforts of life and is truly grateful. Axel would be great as an only dog or as a buddy for other dogs in the family. He is house-trained and likes his space to be clean. He will make someone very happy to share life with him – he is that cool of a dog!
Adoption cost: $375
Adoption procedure: An adoption application can be found here. Or you can call 714-528-4730 for more information. In addition to Axel, the other four dogs who were rescued with him are still available through Coastal German Shepherd Rescue.
