Fire destroys 10 Anaheim businesses on State College Blvd.

Ten Anaheim businesses were destroyed by a fire that broke out in a commercial complex early Wednesday morning, Aug. 14, authorities said.

At approximately 5:30 a.m., authorities responded to a blaze on the 1200 block of South State College Boulevard, near Ball Road.

“The building was fully engulfed,” Sgt. Matt Sutter said. “Unfortunately, all 10 businesses are lost.”

The businesses destroyed: a Subway, Tummy Stuffer, Taqueria El Poblano, Primo Tacos, Star Liquor, Ball Road Express (a Chinese restaurant), Purefine Kitchen&Bath, Sequential Bath, Los Angeles Vanity, and an adult entertainment venue, Sahara Theatre.

No one was in the building when the fire began, Sutter said.

At this time, it’s unclear where the fire started.
