The curtain will soon be raised for another high school football season in Orange County and the lead performers will take the stage.
It’s time for all of the players — from skill positions to linebackers and linemen — to don their helmets and shoulder pads.
OCVarsity’s Hot 150 is back to provide an in-depth look at the cast of players expected to make the most impact on the field this fall. Many are familiar names who have added experience, muscle and speed to their repertoire. Others are newcomers looking to show their skill under the stadium lights.
The Hot 150 is compiled from coaches’ input, analysis of video highlights, recruiting interest from colleges, statistics, honors and observations.
Almost 50 Orange County schools are represented on this year’s Hot 150 list. The talent pool in the county, however, runs deeper than the list. Each season, deserving players not selected to the Hot 150 still shine and add to the excitement of the fall.
But as always, the Hot 150 hopes to stir some of the excitement before the first kickoff.
OCVARSITY HOT 150
1. NASIR WYATT, Mater Dei, OLB, Sr.
The Register’s reigning Orange County defensive player of the year and Oregon commit returns as arguably the area’s most disruptive and imposing defender. Wyatt has a combined 29 sacks the past two seasons and is the reigning co-defensive MVP in the Trinity League.
2. TRENT MOSLEY, Santa Margarita, WR, Jr.
Mosley emerged last season as arguably the top offensive weapon in the county. He had 81 catches for almost 1,300 yards as a wide receiver and exceled running from the Wildcat formation. If the reigning Trinity League co-MVP improves on his 26 TDs from last fall, watch out.

3. DIJON LEE JR., Mission Viejo, CB/WR, Sr.
The 6-foot-3 Alabama commit has the height, athleticism and instincts to be a blue chip recruit and he showed improved consistency and leadership during the summer. Look for him to deliver his best season yet, especially with his contributions on offense.
4. TJ LATEEF, Orange Lutheran, QB, Sr.
Lateef rides a wave of momentum into the season. He committed in May to Nebraska and finished strong at the Elite 11 finals in June. He’ll need to be sharp and stay healthy to lead the Lancers against one of the county’s most challenging schedules.
5. DASH BEIERLY, Mater Dei, QB, Sr.
The Washington commit who transferred from Chaparral takes the reins of the most complete offense in the county. He showed the poise and command in the summer that should translate into big-time production. His running ability will add a dimension that Mater Dei hasn’t seen from a QB since Bryce Young.
6. VANCE SPAFFORD, Mission Viejo, WR, Jr.
The speedy Spafford delivered a monster sophomore season after being unranked in the 2023 Hot 150. He tallied 83 catches for 1,576 yards and 22 TDs to help the Diablos claim section and state titles. Spafford continued his rise over the summer, so he’s arguably the hottest player in the county.

7. JADEN WILLIAMS, Mission Viejo, DE, Sr.
The explosive defensive end challenged for O.C. defensive player of the year honors last season by piling up 139 total tackles and 18.5 sacks for the state champion. Look for the San Diego State commit coming off the edge.
8. MATAI TAGOA’I, San Clemente, OLB/S, Sr.
The USC commit burst onto the county scene last season as an aggressive and explosive playmaker all over the field. At 6-foot-4, 190 pounds, Tagoa’i is a major problem for offenses.
9. CHRIS HENRY JR., Mater Dei, WR, Jr.
The transfer from Ohio seems to have all the traits to support his five-star recruit ranking. He’s 6-foot-5 and 200 pounds, fast and competitive. Now, let’s see how the Ohio State commits performs in the Trinity League.
10. LUKE FAHEY, Mission Viejo, QB, Jr.
Fahey splits time with senior Draiden Trudeau but has become must-see viewing with his combination of throwing and running. Last season, he passed for almost 2,200 yards and 26 TDs and rushed for another 500 yards.
11. DARYUS DIXSON, Mater Dei, CB, Sr.
The Penn State commit has the blend of physical play and coverage technique to challenge for the title of county’s best cornerback. He was selected first-team All-County last season.
12. QUAID CARR, Servite, RB, Sr.
The San Diego State commit helped power the Friars to a runner-up finish in CIF-SS Division 2 last season with his running and receiving. Look for him to remain a 1,000-yard rusher and be one of the county’s most versatile backs.

13. JACKSON KOLLOCK, Laguna Beach, QB, Sr.
The Minnesota commit is one to watch after passing for more than 3,100 yards and 41 TDs last season. The Breakers’ move to the Foxtrot League raises his profile.
14. LEO HANNAN, Servite, QB, Sr.
The Michigan State commit looks to continue his growth after a breakout junior season. He passed for almost 2,500 yards last season in leading the Friars to a runner-up finish in CIF-SS Division 2.
15. WESTON PORT, San Juan Hills, LB, Sr.
The UCLA commit posted 128 tackles and three interceptions during an impressive junior season. He’s a four-year starter looking to finish strong in the Bravo League.
16. ABDUALL SANDERS JR., Mater Dei, LB, Sr.
The Alabama commit can switch momentum in a flash. Think about his interception return for a score against St. John Bosco in the CIF-SS Division 1 final. Sanders also makes plenty of tackles playing inside the box.
17. MADDEN FARAIMO, JSerra, LB, Sr.
The senior showed his toughness last season while earning first-team All-Trinity League honors despite playing with protective padding on his left arm. Faraimo has the size (6-3, 230) and athleticism to be one of the best defensive players in the county.
18. TALANOA ILI, Orange Lutheran, LB, Jr.
Ili possesses some of the best pursuit skills in the county. He’s explosive coming off the edge and brings physicality to the point of contact. If that wasn’t enough to concern opponents, Lancers coach Rod Sherman said Ili will also play some offense this season.
19. JORDON DAVISON, Mater Dei, RB, Sr.
The Oregon commit is seeking to bounce back after being slowed by injury last season. He rushed for 662 yards and 10 TDs in 2023 after gaining more than 1,500 yards as a sophomore.
20. ALONZO ESPARZA, Los Alamitos, QB, Sr.
The returning first-team All-County quarterback and Cal commit is a savvy dual threat who gained valuable experience as a junior. With a new-look supporting cast and a challenging schedule, Esparza will be need to be resourceful.

21. EIMESSE ESSIS, Tustin, RB, Sr.
Essis’ blend of speed and elusiveness makes him a strong candidate to again break 1,500 rushing yards. And with the added threat of quarterback Michael Tollefson’s running ability, defenses won’t be able to focus as much on the first-team All-County back as they might prefer.
22. LEE FUIMAONO, San Clemente, RB/LB, Sr.
The Arizona State commit looks like a major two-way force. He returns as the Tritons’ leading tackler and could become the team’s top running back.
23. MARCUS HARRIS, Mater Dei, WR, Sr.
The Monarchs’ receiving corps added touted junior transfer Chris Henry Jr. from Ohio but Harris has the experience and ability of a No. 1 wideout. The Oklahoma commit led Mater Dei in receptions last season with 43.
24. PHILLIP BELL III, Mission Viejo, WR, Sr.
The senior arrived from Sacramento last season with high expectations and showed resiliency while posting 56 catches for 644 yards. Expect bigger numbers in his second year in the Diablos’ offensive scheme.
25. SEMI TAULANGA, Mater Dei, DL, Sr.
The Monarchs’ vocal captain and Utah commit showed his value last season by earning first-team All-County honors after being unranked in the 2023 Hot 150.
26. XZAVIOR GUESS, El Modena, QB, Sr.
Orange County is loaded with strong senior quarterbacks but don’t sleep on Guess. The recent UC Davis commit is arguably the fastest quarterback in the area and has proven that a 2,000-yard passing and 1,000-yard rushing season is possible.
27. AUMA JENNINGS, Orange Lutheran, DL, Jr.
The junior continued his rise last season by earning first-team All-County honors and finishing as the Lancers’ second-leading tackler.
28. CHUCK MCDONALD III, Mater Dei, DB, Sr.
Expect the Alabama commit to assert himself as the starting corner opposite Daryus Dixson. He’s potentially one of the county’s best lockdown defensive backs and a key team leader.
29. SAMUELU UTU, Orange Lutheran, OL, Jr.
The 6-foot-5, 315-pound junior brings size and athleticism to the tackle position. He’s also a standout in volleyball.
30. JAKE FLORES, JSerra, OL, Sr.
The Washington commit returns as one of the top offensive tackles in the county. He earned first-team All-Trinity League honors last season.

31. SIONE TOHI, Mater Dei, OL, Sr.
The Arizona commit could continue his ascent by shifting to left tackle from left guard. He earned first-team All-Trinity League honors last season.
32. KODI GREENE, Mater Dei, OL, Jr.
The transfer from Eastside Catholic in Sammamish, Wash., is a 6-foot-6, 290-pound lineman who could start at one of Mater Dei’s tackle spots. That says a lot about his ability.
33. RYAN LUCE, Trabuco Hills, WR, Sr.
Luce continued his ascent last season with 82 catches for 1,003 yards and six TDs. That was good enough for first-team All-County.
34. VANDER PLOOG, Troy, TE, Sr.
The 6-foot-6 Washington commit established himself as a standout last season with 61 catches for 1,047 yards and 12 TDs. He tallied seven catches as a sophomore.
35. BRADY EDMUNDS, Huntington Beach, QB, So.
The 6-foot-5 Edmunds enters the fall with several offers from Power Five schools and the experience of a strong freshman campaign.
36. STEVE CHAVEZ, Orange Lutheran, RB, Sr.
The bruising San Jose State commit impressed in his first season in the Trinity League and finished with 971 yards and 16 TDs.
37. JULIUS GILLICK, Edison, RB, Sr.
The physical Montana commit set the bar high with almost 1,600 yards and 15 TDs in his first season at Edison. Get ready for a strong encore.
38. HOLDEN NAGIN, Yorba Linda, QB, Sr.
The Mustangs strive for a balanced offense but Nagin often makes the most of his opportunities. He tossed 30 touchdowns last season, the second most among the top 10 returning O.C. quarterbacks.
39. TOMU TOPUI, Mater Dei, DL, Jr.
The 6-foot-3, 320-pound junior nose tackle has surfaced as one of the best juniors in the county and a physical part of the Monarchs’ defense.
40. MICHAEL TOLLEFSON, Tustin, QB, Sr.
The Arizona State commit joins the Tillers after playing at JSerra last season. Yes, the new Delta League isn’t as strong as the Trinity League but the dual threat will need to play well to answer the challenges.
41. HINESWARD LILOMAIAVA, Mission Viejo, RB, Sr.
The powerful Lilomaiava (5-10, 230) is one of the county’s best scoring threats in the red zone but don’t overlook his receiving skills or ability to break a long run.

42. KAYDEN DIXON-WYATT, Mater Dei, WR, Jr.
The Monarchs’ wide receiving corps is loaded with Chris Henry Jr. (Ohio State) and Marcus Harris (Oklahoma), and the 6-foot-2 Dixon-Wyatt would be the No. 1 receiver on most teams. Last season, he produced 33 receptions for 512 yards and six TDs, including one in the CIF-SS Division 1 final.
43. BENJAMIN ALEFAIO, Orange Lutheran, DB, Sr.
The Arizona State commit took on all challenges at cornerback last season but is expected to play at multiple spots in the secondary this season. He’s still the Lancers’ top defensive back.
44. DRAIDEN TRUDEAU, Mission Viejo, QB, Sr.
Trudeau is a steady and polished performer who shouldn’t be overlooked in his rotation with junior Luke Fahey.
45. TIMMY HERR, San Juan Hills, QB, Jr.
The dual threat proved to be a playmaker and leader in first season as a full-time starter. He passed for 2,434 yards and 21 TDs and rushed for 619 yards and 18 TDs to help the Stallions finish 11-2.
46. LOGAN CHRISTENSEN, JSerra, WR/DB, Sr.
The UNLV commit is a two-way contributor who earned first-team All-Trinity League honors last season.
47. JOSEPH HARPER, Northwood, ATH., Sr.
Keep this 6-foot-2, 220-pound senior in the discussion of top two-way players in the county. He had 17 sacks and scored 11 TDs in 10 games last season. Northwood plans to find multiple ways to get him the ball more either through the air or on the ground.
48. JJ AMEZCUA, Western, WR/S, Sr.
The physical, 6-foot-2, 190-pounder is the Pioneers’ No. 1 receiving target and also plays safety.
49. DORSETT STECKLER, Corona del Mar, WR, Jr.
The 5-foot-10 Steckler has quickly worked his way into the No. 1 receiver spot for the Sea Kings. That’s often a very productive spot.
50. ZACH GIULIANO, Corona del Mar, TE, Sr.
At 6-foot-6, 230 pounds, expect the Stanford commit to be a key target for the Sea Kings. Giuliano’s strong offseason showed that he’s ready to surpass his junior totals of 37 catches for 370 yards and eight TDs.

51. KEELAN TAGOA’I, Orange Lutheran, DL, Sr.
The under-the-radar Tagoa’i led the Lancers in tackles last season en route to second-team All-County honors.
52. TOMAS CERNIUS, Servite, DE, Sr.
Cernius helped spark the Friars’ run to the CIF-SS Division 2 championship game by leading the defense with 10.5 sacks. He earned first-team All-Trinity League honors. He also is a standout in baseball.
53. NATE LEWIS, Villa Park, QB, Sr.
The senior used his scrambling ability and improved accuracy to pass for almost 1,900 yards and 22 TDs last season. Those will be valuable traits for the Spartans in the new Bravo League.
54. JOHN GAZZANIGA, Santa Margarita, QB, Sr.
The 6-foot-7, 230-pound senior should look more comfortable in his second year with the Eagles. Don’t be surprised if he shares time with senior James Johnson.
55. SAVELIO NIUMATA, Edison, QB, Sr.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound senior is out to prove himself after being slowed last season by injury. His performance at the Battle at the Beach passing tournament showed he’s on the right track.
56. JACOB MARTIN, Edison, WR/CB, Sr.
The Idaho State commit has developed into one of the Chargers’ top skill players. He’s a top wide receiver and the team’s No. 1 cornerback.
57. ISAIAH LEILUA, Servite, LB, So.
The 6-foot, 210-pound Leilua is a rising, physical defender who led the Friars with 91 total tackles last season.
58. REILY WALKER, Capistrano Valley, LB/RB, Sr.
The senior not only takes the reins as the Cougars’ defensive anchor but is also a tailback to watch. He’s the team’s best overall player, coach Sean Curtis said.
59. JERON JONES, Mission Viejo, CB, Jr.
Jones is poised to play the cornerback spot opposite of Alabama commit Dijon Lee Jr., which means he’ll receive plenty of challenges. He impressed in the Diablos’ playoff run last season and showed more progress over the summer.
60. CHRISTOPHER WILLIAMS, San Juan Hills, WR/CB, Sr.
Williams is a two-way starter who continues to improve. He’s a top target for Timmy Herr and one of the county’s best cornerbacks.
61. NEHEMIAH JOHNSON, Orange Lutheran, OL, Sr.
The 6-foot-5, 320-pound Johnson is another reason why the Lancers’ offensive line could challenge Mater Dei as best in the county. He’s committed to UCLA.

62. CASH O’BYRNE, Tesoro, QB, Sr.
South County is loaded with stellar signal callers but keep an eye on O’Byrne, who completed 62 percent of his passes last season for 2,333 yards.
63. TOMMY ACOSTA, Capistrano Valley, QB, Sr.
Acosta showed off his dual-threat abilities last season by passing for almost 1,700 yards and rushing for more than 900. He’s expected to split time with sophomore Talon Spencer but remains a player to watch.
64. ARION WILLIAMS, Orange Lutheran, OL, Sr.
The 6-foot-2, 275-pound Williams performed well at right tackle last season en route to first-team All-Trinity League honors.
65. NINIVA NICHOLSON, JSerra, OL, Jr.
The 6-foot-3, 270-pound left tackle delivered some of his best blocks against Mater Dei last season on his way to making first-team all-league.
66. DANIEL TULIAU, JSerra, OL, Sr.
The San Jose State commit is a key returner on the Lions’ offensive line.
67. COLE PRINCIPE, Orange Lutheran, OL, Sr.
The Rice-committed Principe (6-3, 295) is a core returner for the Lancers, who are blessed with depth at offensive line.
68. HENRY WONDERLICK, Villa Park, OL/DL, Sr.
The 6-foot-3, 295-pound Wonderlick helps anchor the Spartans’ lines as a left tackle and nose guard.
69. JEROD TERRY JR., Los Alamitos, RB/CB, Jr.
Who’s the No. 1 back for the retooling Griffins? They like their options with Terry and junior Lenny Ibarra. Terry also could contribute on defense.
70. SHAUN SCOTT, Mater Dei, OLB, Jr.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Scott is an intriguing defender. As a rotational player last season, he flashed major pass rushing skill playing opposite of Nasir Wyatt.
71. JA’MYRON BAKER, Los Alamitos, WR, Jr.
The USC commit missed last season due to injury but looked in form over the summer. He tallied 32 receptions as a freshman.
72. AJ IA, Orange Lutheran, TE, Sr.
The Arizona State commit has the talent and frame (6-6, 250) to get back on track after an injury-marred 2023. Ia might have left a hint of things to come in his last game of 2023: six catches for 100 yards and two TDs against Centennial of Corona.
73. ULAVAI FETULI, La Habra, TE/DE, Sr.
The BYU commit will look to show his diverse talents after being limited to three games last season due to injury.
74. JIREH MOE, Orange Lutheran, DL, Sr.
The San Jose State commit is coming off a quiet junior season due to injury but has the get off and motor to bounce back in a big way.
75. SIMOTE KATOANGA, JSerra, DE, Jr.
The 6-foot-5, 245-pound edge defender flew under the radar last season but created plenty of havoc. Georgia and Notre Dame were among his offers this summer.
76. DEVAN PARKER, Servite, WR, Jr.
The receiver/returner established himself last season with a team-high 53 receptions for 605 yards plus two kickoff returns for TDs.
77. JAKE MINTER, Edison, WR/S, Sr.
Minter forms a potent two-way combination with fellow first-team All-Sunset League selection Jacob Martin. Expect Minter to keep pace and help lead the Chargers.

78. TIM IOANE JR., Tustin, LB, Jr.
The middle linebacker returns as one of the Tillers’ defensive anchors.
79. SEAN EMBREE JR., Santa Margarita, WR, Sr.
The 6-foot-4 Washington State commit flashed promise last season before being slowed by injury.
80. TROY FOSTER, Huntington Beach, WR, Jr.
Foster showed at the Surf City passing tournament why he’s the No. 1 target for Brady Edmunds. Look for him to improve on his output last season of 33 catches for 455 yards.
81. BEN BYSZEWSKI, Crean Lutheran, DB/WR, Sr.
The All-CIF and All-County selection returns as the Saints’ leader in receptions (50) and interceptions (eight) last season. His eight INTs led the county.
82. MAX KOTIRANTA, San Clemente, WR/S, Sr.
The 5-foot-11 Kotiranta is a returning first-team All-South Coast League safety with strong instincts but also watch for him on offense.
83. JACKSON RAGUSE, Los Alamitos, LB, Sr.
An outside linebacker with excellent pursuit skills, Raguse is the Griffins’ lone returning first-team All-Sunset League selection. Once eligible last season, he led Los Alamitos in tackle points.
84. TRISTIN ORDAZ, Servite, CB, Jr.
The 5-foot-10 Ordaz made many aggressive and instinctual breaks on passes to earn first-team All-Trinity League honors last season.
85. ANTHONY ABAD, Sonora, RB, Sr.
Abad deserves respect as he attempts to churn out a third straight 1,000-yard rushing campaign.
86. ETHAN THOMAS, Santa Margarita, OL, Sr.
The 6-foot-5, 290-pound Thomas is a lineman to watch after earning second-team All-Trinity League honors last season.
87. BRODIE HITCHENS, El Modena, RB/LB, Sr.
The reigning North Hills League offensive player of the year should flourish again while teaming with QB Xzavior Guess and an experienced offensive line. Look for him to surpass his 652 rushing yards from last season while also being a key defender.
88. CJ LAVENDER JR., Mater Dei, S, Jr.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder Lavender appears set to fill one of the Monarchs’ openings at safety. That’s a prime spot for him to showcase his development.
89. DEACON MOSS, Irvine, WR/DB, Sr.
The reigning Pacific Hills League MVP will face higher competition with the Vaqueros’ switch to the Iota League but expect him to respond. Moss had 46 catches for 757 yards and six TDs last season.
90. NOLAN OLIVERAS, Fountain Valley, WR/DB/K, Sr.
The first-team All-Sunset League player had 61 catches for almost 1,000 yards and nine TDs last season, and also starred on special teams.
91. DOMINIC ANCICH, Villa Park, FB, Sr.
Look for the 5-foot-8, 210-pound Ancich to get the “hard yards” not only in the red zone but throughout the field. He’s a candidate to easily surpass his output of 376 yards last season.
92. TAVEN EPPS, Tustin, LB, So.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Epps played with a physical edge beyond his years last season en route to first-team All-Empire League honors.
93. NOAH MORALES, La Habra, OL/DL, Sr.
Morales (5-11, 250) earned the Freeway League’s lineman of the year award last season and teams with returner Seth Newton to give the Highlanders two outstanding offensive guards.
94. ETHAN MUNDT, Troy, RB/LB, Jr.
Count Mundt as one of the county’s rising two-way players.
95. BRANDON FIGUEROA, Irvine, RB, Sr.
Figueroa displayed plenty of consistency last season en route to a 1,000-yard rushing season and 18 TDs.

96. IVRICK CARRIGAN, Santa Margarita, OLB, Jr.
The outside linebacker arrives after a productive season at Los Alamitos. He brings speed to the Eagles’ new-look group of linebackers.
97. RYAN McKEVITT, Laguna Hills, RB, Sr.
The Hawks could use a big season from McKevitt as they transition to the tough Epsilon League. He showed potential last season.
98. JP MURRAY, El Dorado, RB, Sr.
The 6-foot, 195-pound Murray emerged last season after the injury to Isaiah Quintero and rushed for 957 yards and 13 TDs.
99. KENNY SAUCEDO, La Habra, QB, Sr.

Quick with sure hands, Flores proved ready for Friday nights by leading the Lancers’ receivers with 38 catches for 430 yards and five TDs. He should pair well at receiver with UC Davis commit Tyler Hennessy.
117. COLE HERLEAN, San Clemente, WR, Sr.
Herlean (6-2, 175) provided the Tritons their best deep threat last season as he led the team with 35 catches for 475 yards and five TDs
118. HUDSON CAMPBELL, Capistrano Valley, WR, Sr.
The 6-foot-2 Campbell projects as the Cougars’ No. 1 receiver after hauling in 35 receptions for 438 yards and seven TDs last season.

Hirou become one of the best safeties in the Trinity League last season with five interceptions.

The USC commit will be fascinating to watch. He’s 6-foot-8, about 350 pounds and will be transitioning to the Trinity League from Division 10 Xavier Prep in Palm Desert. Look for him at left tackle.

Hanne’s emergence speaks to the Eagles’ ability to develop talent. He recently committed to Georgia and is expected to be a key contributor on defense after a quiet junior season.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pound Haney is an under-the-radar lineman creating buzz around the Trinity League.
124. BODE STEFANO, Newport Harbor, QB, Sr.
The Sailors haven’t named their starting quarterback but Stefano (6-3, 205) gained valuable experience as a backup last season and impressed at the South County passing tournament in late June.

The transfer slot receiver from Paraclete averaged an eye-popping 21.6 yards per catch last season. He could surface as a key target for new QB Caden Jones.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Smith looks like Xzavior Guess’ No. 1 target after averaging 17.6 yards per catch last season.

The 6-foot-2 Hopkins appears to have the inside track on the Lions’ starting job but keep tabs of sophomore QB Koa Smith-Mayall.
128. MAX NASHED, Corona del Mar, QB, Sr.
Nashed entered the Battle at the Beach passing tournament as the starter and helped lead the Sea Kings to the Gold Division quarterfinals. Junior Brady Annett is also a quarterback to watch at Corona del Mar.
129. NATE RICHIE, Capistrano Valley Christian, QB, Sr.
Richie (6-3, 214) returns as one of the most accurate passers in the county. He completed 69 percent of his passes last season for 2,553 yards and 30 TDs. He was intercepted only five times.

The 6-foot-6, 200-pound senior is a promising first-year starter with a big arm.
131. TRAVIS FRAZIER, Esperanza, QB, Jr.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Frazier is a Class of 2026 quarterback to remember.

The dual-threat quarterback, who transferred from Serra of Gardena, should flourish for a Pioneers offense known for being prolific.

At almost 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, Russell looks like the anchor for a solid defense that features defensive back Shane Cassidy (6-5, 195) and Shayden Sorochman, the reigning Big 4 League defensive player of the year.

The 6-foot, 200-pound Holcomb posted a team-high 78 tackles last season and made second-team All-Crestview League.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Lopez had a “tremendous” offseason, Jaguars coach Joseph Tagaloa said, and appears headed toward a breakout season.
136. MAX KROSKY, Capistrano Valley Christian, WR, Sr.
The 6-foot-2 Krosky will be a top target for the Cougars after hauling in 65 catches for more than 1,000 yards and 16 TDs last season.

The 6-foot-3 Viola collected 49 receptions for 712 yards and 10 TDs last season.

Roberts gave the Mustangs a boost last season with 24 catches for almost 300 yards and four TDs.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Dugger tossed 19 TDs last season at Sunrise Mountain in Arizona.
140. CADEN JONES, Crean Lutheran, QB, So.
The 6-foot-3 Jones is an athletic signal caller for what might be the most talented Saints team in history. The schedule is tough but expect Caden Jones to progress.
141. TALON SPENCER, Capistrano Valley, WR/QB, So.
The Cougars are high on Spencer, and for good reason. After impressing on the freshmen level last season, he’s already one of their best wide receivers and splitting time with Tommy Acosta at QB.
142. TROY ALVAREZ, Santa Ana, DL, So.
The 5-foot-8, 225-pound defensive lineman showed impressive quickness and strength last season with 48 total tackles and six sacks as a freshman.
143. JOVOHN CRUZ, Woodbridge, LB, Sr.
The 5-foot-7, 165-pound Cruz played with a burst last season and racked up 80 tackles, including 10 for a loss. He was a bright spot for a team that finished 1-9.
144. MATTHEW BALDONADO, Cypress, DB. Sr.
Baldonado (5-9, 175) earned the Empire League’s defensive back of the year award last season and look for him to add more receiving duties this fall.
145. NOAH TAGALOA, Segerstrom, RB, Sr.
The 5-foot-8, 187-pound Tagaloa was slowed by a foot injury last season but is coming off a strong offseason that included basketball and competing in the triple jump. He could challenge for a 1,000-yard rushing season.
146. OWEN WALZ, Dana Hills, RB/KR, Sr.
Walz (5-11, 180) remains one of the best kick returners in the county and look for him to rack up yards as the Dolphins’ No. 1 running back. He was a sit-out transfer last season after arriving from San Clemente.
147. RIDER STREET, Kennedy, RB/LB, Sr.
Street (5-8 185) was a first-team All-Empire League back last season as he rushed for 702 yards and seven TDs. He looks headed toward another big season. Also watch out for Kennedy QB Devin Almazan.
148. WESLEY LUNDELL, Orange, WR, Jr.
The Panthers are retooling with several up-and-coming skill players but Lundell (6-0, 200) returns as a physical and experienced wide receiver. He caught seven TDs last season.
149. FREDERICK WASHINGTON, Fullerton, OL/DL, So.
The 6-foot-3, 285-pound Washington is a developing force who displays upside on both sides of the ball.
150T. ETHAN CEDILLO, Westminster, DE/TE, Sr.
Cedillo (5-10, 190) is a “difference maker” for the Lions after tallying 99 tackles and seven sacks last season. He also caught five TDs.
150T. COOPER STARNES, La Quinta, RB, Sr.
Starnes rushed for 1,570 yards and 15 TDs last season on a squad that finished 6-4 and narrowly missed the playoffs. In the spring, he won the 100 meters at the Garden Grove League track finals. “He should have a big year,” Aztecs coach James Stewart said.
