Angel City Football Club announced Monday that it had mutually terminated the contract of midfielder Clarisse LeBihan.
LeBihan, who joined ACFC for the inaugural season in 2022 from France, had made 10 appearances this season. Last season she played in 17 games and she was in 20 games in the first season.
She scored four goals with four assists in 53 appearances across all competitions.
“I couldn’t dream of a better first experience abroad,” Le Bihan said in a social media post. “I grew as a player and as a human. I found in this club not just football, but a community and a family. I will always be grateful for this experience. I wish the club the best in the future and will always cheer for you wherever I am. Forever an angel.”
Le Bihan signed a two-year contract when she arrived from France and was re-signed on a one-year contract through this season with an option for 2025.
The move leaves Angel City with 23 players on the active roster heading into the secondary transfer window, which opens Aug. 1. Both Jun Endo and Christen Press are still on the season-ending injury list. Press is likely to come off at some point this season.
Angel City kicks off play in the NWSL-Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup against Club America on Saturday at Cal State Fullerton’s Titan Stadium.
