A 19-year-old man suspected of shooting two Century High School students, killing one, in a gang-related attack more than two years ago was arrested last week, authorities said.
On April 28, 2022, Roberto Izelo, 18, and his 19-year-old cousin were sitting in a car parked in an alley along the 1400 block of South Minnie Street when a gunmen approached them and fired several shots at the vehicle, Santa Ana police said.
Izelo, who lived in Tustin, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His cousin was hospitalized and released.
Both victims played on the school’s baseball team and had just finished a game, police said.
After two years, police determined the shooting to be gang-related and identified the suspect as Kevin Chavez of Santa Ana. Chavez, 17 at time of the shooting, was arrested on Friday, July 12, on suspicion of murder.
