A 24-year-old woman suspected of fatally shooting a man and injuring another in gang-related crimes in a residential Anaheim neighborhood was arrested on Saturday, June 15, authorities said.
At around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jose Andres Abrego was shot and another victim was stabbed at a home along the 800 block of West Cottonwood Circle, according to the Anaheim Police Department. The victims were taken to a hospital by a witness before authorities arrived.
Abrego, 30, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other man was expected to survive.
Jannett Cureno, 24, fled the scene and was later arrested in Santa Ana on suspicion of the shooting and the stabbing, police said.
No additional information was released.
