A handful of the best Asian restaurants inside South Coast Plaza, including Paradise Dynasty, Anqi Bistro and a couple of newcomers, will participate in the third annual Asian Pacific Food Fest on Thursday, May 30.
Part of the shopping behemoth’s Asia Pacific American Heritage Month celebration, the evening culinary event will feature 11 South Coast Plaza restaurants that focus on the contributions of its Asian chefs and restaurateurs.
Highlights will include a preview from Vox Kitchen, part of Kei Concepts restaurants, which will open at South Coast Plaza this fall, will offer pear salad and chifa seafood fried rice with lychee lemonade. Yu Cake, which is set to open on June 1, will be on hand to serve its mille crepe cake and cheesecake.
The roster of restaurants and their respective dishes is as follows:
AnQi Bistro: Secret-kitchen garlic noodles with beef tenderloin satay skewer
Din Tai Fung: Kurobuta pork xiao long bao
Hamamori: Sashimi gems with rice and signature Hamamori sauce
Le Shrimp Noodle Bar: Truffle noodles and ebiko prawn ball
Miàn: Chengdu Zajiang noodles and fried chicken cutlet
Paradise Dynasty: Spicy chicken wonton and Japanese garlic cucumber
Royal Khyber: Chicken tikka masala, veggie basmati rice, garlic naan, raita
Tableau: Salmon poke with nori rice chip
Terrace by Mix Mix: Shrimp and pork lumpia lettuce taco
Vox Kitchen: Pear salad and Chifa seafood fried rice, lychee lemonade
Yu Cake: Mille crepe cake (matcha and tiramisu) and cheesecake (rose and mango grapefruit)
The Asian Pacific Food Fest, happening from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., will be held on the garden terrace located outside on the second level of the Nordstrom wing.
Tickets run $95, which includes eight tasting passes and two drink tickets.
