Two men died and two more people were hurt after a car collided with a traffic signal in Buena Park early Saturday, Buena Park police said.
At around 3:47 a.m., officers were called to the collision on Beach Boulevard at Cascade Way, south of Malvern Avenue, police said in a Saturday night statement.
Police found that a car with four people inside was on fire at the Beach Boulevard and Stage Road/Cascade Way’s intersection’s southwest corner, Saturday’s statement said.
The Orange County Fire Authority extinguished the fire and removed two passengers from the vehicle, both of whom were transported to a medical center for treatment, Saturday’s statement said. Information on their conditions was not immediately available.
Two men in their 30s, the driver and a passenger in the front of the vehicle, were pronounced dead at the scene, the police statement said.
It wasn’t immediately known what caused the crash.
