Crean Lutheran was seeded No. 1 in Division 2 for the CIF Southern Section girls beach volleyball playoffs that begin this week.
JSerra was seeded No. 2 in Division 1.
The playoffs begin with wild card-round matches Tuesday followed by first-round matches Thursday.
Crean Lutheran is 16-0 and Crestview League champion. JSerra (12-1) is the Trinity League champion.
Crean won the Division 2 title last season, the first season that girls beach volleyball was a CIF-SS championship sport. The Saints defeated Capistrano Valley Christian in the final.
Mira Costa, last year’s Division 1 champion, is seeded No. 1 in Division 1.
The CIF-SS Division 1 and Division 2 finals will be played April 27 at Long Beach City College.
