Rams to sign safety Kamren Curl to 2-year deal

The Rams continued to shore up their secondary on Thursday, agreeing to terms on a two-year deal with free agent safety Kamren Curl, a source confirmed.

Per NFL Network, the deal with the former Washington Commander is worth $13 million. He is the second defensive back the Rams have reached terms with this offseason, joining cornerback Darious Williams, who signed his three-year deal to return to the Rams on Thursday.

Safety was a position in flux for the Rams entering the NFL calendar year. Starters Jordan Fuller and John Johnson III are currently free agents, leaving third-year players Quentin Lake and Russ Yeast as the projected starters for next season.

Curl, 24, is coming off a season in which he set a career high with 115 combined tackles along with five pass breakups, one sack and a forced fumble.

The 6-foot-2 player brings versatility to the Rams as he enters his fifth season. In addition to safety, he played an average of 9.8 snaps at slot cornerback per game in 2023.
