(KRON) – A woman accused of being a serial shoplifter was arrested last week, according to the San Jose Police Department.
Since 2023, Socorro Punzo committed thefts at multiple San Jose retail stores, including Macy’s, Ulta, Sunglass Hut and Home Depot, per San Jose PD.
At approximately 3 p.m. on March 17, San Jose Organized Retail Theft Detail police officers conducted a follow-up investigation for Punzo, who has multiple felony warrants pertaining to theft. Police said they believe Punzo may be associated with dozens of other organized retail theft incidents.
SJPD officers located Punzo in San Jose and arrested her.
She was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for organized retail theft, burglary and grand theft.
