(KRON) – A man was fatally struck by a vehicle Thursday night, according to the Napa Police Department.
At 6:46 p.m. on Thursday, Napa PD dispatch received multiple reports of a vehicle striking a pedestrian in the 100 block of southbound Soscol Avenue.
Upon arrival, responding officers noticed a deceased man in the roadway.
The descendant’s name will not be released at this time, according to Napa PD.
Police said the driver remained on the scene and cooperated with officers.
Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash, according to Napa PD. The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Anyone who may be a witness to the collision is asked to contact Officer Nick Toscani at ntoscani@cityofnapa.org.
