(KRON) — The San Ramon Police Department said officers were on the lookout for a duo suspected of shoplifting from a Sephora store where the alleged thieves returned days later.
San Ramon police said the pair previously got away with a stolen haul of beauty products. When the two suspects showed back up, police said its Organized Retail Theft (ORT) Suppression Team quickly spotted and identified them. In released surveillance video, the suspects were detained by police after they raced to their car and tried to exit the parking lot.
In a Monday social media post detailing the case, San Ramon police said, “the suspects decided to come back and do it again since it was so easy the first time, but to their surprise, patrol officers and ORT were waiting for them.”
Investigators said the two suspects were arrested and face charges tied to the prior and current thefts. Police have not yet released their names.
