A domestic dispute suspect believed to be armed with a gun was shot by deputies in the Florence-Firestone area of Los Angeles early Tuesday.
A call reporting the dispute in the 1500 block of 76th Place came in around 1:30 a.m., L.A. County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Koerner confirmed.
A male suspect armed with a handgun was found at the scene and a shooting involving two deputies occurred, Koerner said.
The gunfire struck the suspect whose condition and identity were not known.
No further details about what led up to the shooting or the reason for the initial disturbance call were released.
Koerner said the two deputies were not injured in the incident.
