(KRON) – Police said officers were shot by suspects and returned gunshots on Monday, according to the San Jose Police Department.
According to the department, plainclothes officers were “working an unrelated event” near Melbourne Boulevard and Mclaughlin Avenue. Police said the officers were shot at “by unknown suspects and returned fire” around 10:38 p.m. on Monday.
The suspects fled the scene, said SJPD.
No injuries were reported, according to police.
Mclaughlin Avenue is currently closed from Highway 280 to Appian Lane. Melbourne Boulevard is closed from Macredes Avenue to Mclaughlin Avenue, according to police.
