The 82nd annual Golden Globes take place Sunday night in Beverly Hills, and several local road closures are in place due to the awards show.
To start, Wilshire Boulevard between Comstock Avenue and South Santa Monica Boulevard will be completely shut down until 5 a.m. Monday. The full closure began at 5 a.m. Sunday.
Additional streets near the Beverly Hilton Hotel will have limited access, the Beverly Hills Police Department said in a community alert.
Parking will be completely restricted with no exceptions from 5 a.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday on the following streets:
- Whittier Drive between Wilshire Boulevard and Elevado Avenue
- Carmelita Avenue between Wilshire Boulevard and Walden Drive
- Elevado Avenue between Wilshire Boulevard and Walden Drive
- Trenton Drive between Whittier Drive and Wilshire Boulevard
- Walden Drive from Santa Monica Boulevard to Elevado Avenue
- Lomitas Avenue between Wilshire Boulevard and Walden Drive
For residents without permit parking, a parking exemption can be obtained by contacting the City’s Parking Exemption Line at 310-285-2548, or by visiting this webpage.
Residents and motorists with questions should be advised that the after-hours Golden Globes Hotline will be active on Sunday until 8 p.m. and can be reached by calling 310-550-4680.
This year’s Golden Globes will be hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser. The show is set to begin at 5 p.m.
