The new year is a busy one for The Weeknd.

Not only is he releasing new music, but his upcoming album “Hurry Up Tomorrow” will accompany a new movie as well.

The movie will star The Weeknd alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan and it will hit theaters on May 16, 2025. The psychological thriller is directed by Trey Edward Shults and is distributed by Lionsgate.

“Abel is a visionary whose art cannot be confined by any single medium,” said Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Chair, Adam Fogelson, in a statement obtained by Billboard. “With ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow,’ in partnership with Trey, his musical universe expands onto the big screen with a psychological thriller that will usher in a new cinematic experience for fans. We are thrilled to be bringing it to audiences worldwide.”

The “Hurry Up Tomorrow” album is the final part of the Toronto native’s trilogy, which started with 2020’s “After Hours” and 2022’s “Dawn FM.”

The “Blinding Lights” singer’s sixth studio album is set to be released on Jan. 24. A day later he’ll hit the stage of the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California for a special one-night-only show.
