(KRON) — The San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) reported that one of its fire engines swept in to help a local family whose holiday was almost ruined by a Thanksgiving Day fire.
Engine 28, which serves the city’s North Beach neighborhood, was dispatched to an oven fire Thursday in a home two blocks from its firehouse at 1814 Stockton St. Due to the incident, the family was now without an oven to prepare a meal, including a turkey.
SFFD said the Station 28 crew offered to take care of the situation, delivering a cooked Thanksgiving bird just hours later to the grateful family.
