(KRON) — A road rage incident in Pittsburg turned violent Tuesday, leaving one person hospitalized after being shot, according to the Pittsburg Police Department (PPD). Authorities are asking for the public’s help in its investigation.
Police responded at 3:30 p.m. to the area of Buchanan and Loveridge roads on the report of gunfire. Arriving officers found a man suffering from a single gunshot wound, Pittsburg PD said. The victim was transported to an area hospital and was listed in stable condition.
Investigators believe that the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident on eastbound Buchanan Road. Authorities are continuing to gather information from witnesses and review surveillance video from the area, PPD said.
