Deputies are searching for the driver of a stolen water truck who led authorities on a pursuit through Santa Clarita before crashing into another vehicle in a Valencia neighborhood Sunday night.
The incident was reported after the water truck was stolen from a dealership in Santa Clarita around 11:15 p.m.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies saw the stolen vehicle and pursued it until the truck crashed into a black four-door sedan at Wiley Canyon Road and Tournament Road in Valencia.
The suspect exited the truck and fled into a nearby neighborhood, freelance media firm KNN reported.
It was unclear if anyone in the sedan was injured in the crash but an ambulance did respond to the intersection.
Deputies were searching the area following the pursuit but did not immediately locate the suspect.
