(KRON) — A vehicle crashed into the Community First Credit Union bank on Tuesday in Novato, the Novato Police Department (NPD) said.
The bank, located at 1539 S Novato Blvd., suffered a shattered window on the side of the building, NPD said. Upon investigation, the driver of a Chrysler PT Cruiser “accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the break.” The vehicle then crashed into the building.
No injuries were reported. As of Tuesday afternoon, the bank will remain closed “until further notice,” according to NPD.
After evaluating the driver, officers determined impairment was not a factor in the collision.
